This log mount floating feed is designed specifically for locations such as wood beams where there is no electrical box but the power must be fed into the track somewhere along the length of the track and not on the ends. It is 2.75" wide by 5.2" long  instead of the 4.5" wide a normal floating feed is to allow it to sit flush on a 4" or wider bear and will even work on larger rounded beams.  The metal cover is hand painted to match the track and track heads. The electrical connections are made inside the metal case.
